From the factory nearly all engines are de-tuned and have serious flats mapped into the ECU's maps. This is mainly done for immisions legilations. By remapping the ECU we optimise the way in which your engine burns it's fuel, This creates more power, gets rid of flat spots, gives more torque in lower RPM's and better throttle response.
